Face the Future, We propose the industry to make joint preparations in five aspects: standards, spectrum, industrial chain, ecology and application, Accelerate towards 5.5G and work together to build a better intelligent world.”
First, Prepare for the standards, promote research on key technologies together
Standard is the leader of wireless communication industry, it will lead the 5.5G industry to develop along a clear path. R18 needs to achieve the goal of 5.5G ten times capacity improvement and achieve the scheduled freeze in 2024; R19 and later versions jointly explore new business and new scenario capability requirements, continue to improve 5.5G standard technology, and achieve a longer life cycle and stronger vitality of 5.5G.
Second, Prepare for spectrum and jointly build super bandwidth spectrum
Make full use of Sub100GHz spectrum resources to provide resource guarantee for 5.5G. Millimeter wave is the key spectrum of 5.5G. Operators need to obtain spectrum above 800MHz to realize 10Gbps capability; 6GHz is a potential new spectrum with super large bandwidth. Countries need to consider issuing 6GHz spectrum after WRC-23 identification; For Sub6GHz spectrum, super bandwidth can also be achieved through spectrum reconstruction.
Third, Make good preparations for products and jointly promote the maturity of the end pipe core industry chain
5.5G network and terminal should match well, Fully release 10 Gigabit capacity. The medium and high frequency products need more than 1000 ELAA technologies, and the number of M-MIMO channels needs to move to 128T to provide 10 gigabit network capabilities; 5.5G chips and intelligent terminals need to go to 3T8R or even more channels, and support carrier aggregation of more than 4 carriers to build a 10 gigabit experience terminal.
Forth, Make ecological preparations and jointly promote the 5.5G ecological prosperity
The industry needs to cooperate deeply to promote the 5.5G ecological prosperity and better serve the digital needs of the whole scene. Taking IoT ecology as an example, operators and equipment providers should plan networks for IoT scenarios, taking into account the needs of people and things; The module capability and cost of the terminal manufacturer should adapt to the application scenario, and the industry and application developers should incubate applications in advance.
Fifth, Prepare for application and jointly innovate cross era applications
5.5G is accelerating from consensus to reality, providing fertile soil for the application and development of a hundred flowers in bloom, All sensory interaction changes our communication methods and enables cross era communication experience; The automobile moves towards ubiquitous intelligent network connection to realize trans era travel experience; The industry has moved from an island of information to an intelligent connection to achieve cross era industrial upgrading. More and more innovative applications will gradually outline the overall picture of the intelligent world, and the upstream and downstream of the industry need to jointly explore new applications across the times.
